Is this a fait accompli or has it been in front of the Community Board and Zoning Board (unless that is the same thing.)

When the president said he would cease to fund any Sanctuary City. What are the implications of that to us, Queens, Jackson Heights?

Also, OT, how can the government build a wall without following the rules: environmental impact statements, etc.?

Thanks for reading this. I am very confused.

I think it is on sale at a reasonable price at E77 or at Happy Kitchen.

Is it as simple as going down to the library and putting your name on a list?

I would call Butcher Block in Woodside/Sunnyside (off Queens blvd in the 40s. They are an Irish, English, Scottish trove of goodies. Call first.

Have fun.

I was in one today. Toothpaste at a reasonable price!

So, I was wondering how to get back to "Swim 2 Birds" or is it's so dead it's forgotten?

Neighborhood Chat / A Good Word for InstaMedCare on Northern
« on: November 10, 2015, 07:39:12 PM »
For the past week I have had bursitis in my left shoulder. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. No amount of painkillers or heating pads did a thing.

Yesterday I went up to InstaMedCare on Northern & 80th St. I saw Dr. Schorr. He confirmed it was bursitis (ouch!) and said it would be treatable by a steroid injection. Unfortunately he didn't have a dose, but would by this morning. Meanwhile there was a gel available, but he didn't want me to order it because it cost $50 for 24 hours relief (until the injection was available.).

Sure enough this morning the shot was available. I received a phone call as soon as it arrived. I won't say it was painless, but the relief was almost immediate.

He has a good patient manner, the nurse was excellent and I'm no longer taking gobs of Tylenol.

Thank you, Dr. S.

This is an unsolicited recommendation, I was only compensated by lack of pain!
:-)

Back in the 50's and before Clark's was a very fancy store. I once held the door open for Mrs. Louis Armstrong. Yep. I was wowed that she would shop in JH! But then, they only lived about 20 blocks away.

Thanks, Adrienne! I was late to the party this year, but hope to have some ghoulish fun and pick up some bargains.
