A Good Word for InstaMedCare on Northern
« on: November 10, 2015, 07:39:12 PM »
For the past week I have had bursitis in my left shoulder. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. No amount of painkillers or heating pads did a thing.

Yesterday I went up to InstaMedCare on Northern & 80th St. I saw Dr. Schorr. He confirmed it was bursitis (ouch!) and said it would be treatable by a steroid injection. Unfortunately he didn't have a dose, but would by this morning. Meanwhile there was a gel available, but he didn't want me to order it because it cost $50 for 24 hours relief (until the injection was available.).

Sure enough this morning the shot was available. I received a phone call as soon as it arrived. I won't say it was painless, but the relief was almost immediate.

He has a good patient manner, the nurse was excellent and I'm no longer taking gobs of Tylenol.

Thank you, Dr. S.

This is an unsolicited recommendation, I was only compensated by lack of pain!
:-)

I have also heard very positive reviews of that place from a close friend, great that it's so close by.

I've used them twice, once for my daughter and once for me. I was happy both times. They are good at what they do. The best part is that you'll probably be out in less than an hour.

Haven't been, but I've been a big fan of cityMD on 73rd and Roosevelt.

They're clean, professional, prompt, and always hook my daughter up with coloring books, crayons, stuffed animals, and stickers.   When I asked for water, they gave me a Fuji.

I second this opinion. Facility is clean, in and out quickly, doctor gave an accurate diagnosis and prescription. Also did some routine testing, which they followed up with me later on the phone.

Much better than heading out to the ER.

Sorry to hear you have bursitis; it hurts like a you-know-what!

I have been there many times and my daughter as well.  Dr. Schorr is my favorite.  Hes great with kids too. Cleanest medical office I've ever been too.

Just wanted to add an update. My husband was at Instamedcare this morning and had a very good experience. Doctor was competent, staff was professional, and facility clean and well-maintained. He was there less than an hour. They accepted our insurance and he paid usual copay. We live at 37 and 84 so it’s nice to know it's nearby if needed.
