Public notice:Night time asphalt paving of Broadway and 73rd Street

From May, 14 to May 17th 9pm to 5am

Broadway and Roosevelt Ave interchange will be closed for paving. 73rd Street will also need to be closed to traffic.

I guess don’t plan on parking on 73rd Street if you need to move the car after 9pm

Like I'm every lucky enough to be able to park on 73rd St.  LOL

The trees and plants are nice!  For now...hope they are maintained. Honestly, am underwhelmed as the plaza is pretty similar to the previous iteration, and will be moreso after a summer of "seasoning".

Part of me wished they used red concrete or bricking of some sort to better hide all the red spit stains.  It's already dotted with them, much like most of our streets.

The whole light grey and dark grey concrete makes no sense. They should of made it all dark grey to hide the dirt and stains better. The tree pits have these weird trapezoidal shapes that will make installing tree guards difficult. The bird poop on the other side near the train is already impressive. That area will become dangerous to sit near because the bird poop contains air borne diseases. No bathrooms?

In Manhattan some of the plazas have colorful art painted onto the concrete to liven it up.

That's what Diversity Plaza needs.  Both sides of the plaza across Broadway.

Otherwise all that grey looks drab.

Let the graffitti artists go wild on that canvas. YES!!!

That's exactly what I mean.  The plaza in Manhattan looks GREAT.

What Diversity Plaza is at the moment looks more a Soviet era aesthetic.

^the plazas in Manhattan didn't start out looking that way. I found them to be very odd at first. Over the years, they have gotten better.

There should have at least been some sort of water feature or center piece for that money.  Just rode my bike to see Gantry. It's amazing what they accomplished there. Really disappointed at the finished project here and as I said before , I think I was a big rip off.
