This is a never used canvas head that you can put on your vanity or table to display your hats or wigs or other head gear. It has a hole on the bottom so it can also be used for hat making or wig making if you like! The head circumference is 22 inches and the vertical length is 12 inches.

This adorable blazer has a striped lining complete with a whimsical floral print.  It's so elegant it can be worn to a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or just a night on the town. It has two rhinestone buttons that give off a lot of sparkle and 2 front slit pockets (I have never tried opening them).

Bust flat = 16 inches

Sleeve from armpit = 19 inches

Length from collar = 22 inches

Outer part is 100% cotton (velvet) and lining is 100% polyester.

In perfect like new condition!

Community Trade and Classifieds / FREE IT spinner luggage

I'm giving away a black carry-on size spinner luggage by IT (this brand makes the world's lightest luggage - I think this one is about 2 lbs empty).  I'm letting it go b/c the handle wobbles - not that it's in danger of coming off - it's just annoying.  If interested, please contact me here and I will get back to you for a pick-up time.

This is a great navy blue rendition of the constellations on metal – very detailed and well-done. It is 18×18 and has holes in the corners for hanging. The blurring in the corner you see in the second pic is from my camera doing its thing. All the details are on the piece are sharp.  Price is firm.

These are beautiful and I'm so envious of the size of that bathroom!  Since this is a thread on JH renovations, I thought I'd share what we did with our kitchen. We are in Montclair Gardens. This is a link to my Flickr pics of the before and after: https://flic.kr/s/aHsjF2VS23  The kitchen was featured on Apartment Therapy many years ago, but they only chose to show half of it.

Hi folks,
Hoping you could help with some recommendations here.  I am on the design committee of my very large co-op building and I am looking for recommendations for painting contractors who have experience doing lobbies and hallways at a large scale (my building has over 100 units).  I am seeking recommendations only from folks who live in their co-ops and either are on the board or have knowledge of the painting contractor that was used for their building.  Please recommend only contractors that you believe did a quality job - our previous contractor did not use durable paint so we are living with the consequences after just a few years...
Thanks so much!

When I redid my kitchen, I used Dundee Plumbing and Heating (from Jamaica Estates, licensed and passed my co-op board).  They disconnected the stove from the gas line, hooked the stove back up when the cabinets were in, and did the same for the water line under the sink.  Total cost was $500.  They spent a few HOURS under the sink to replace all the old pipes with new ones and to make sure everything worked properly between sink and dishwasher.  I thought they did a great job and didn't regret the cost.  I'm sure if the gas line is the only part you need work on, they'll charge you less.

Neighborhood Chat / Re: Town Hall Meeting To Discuss The Bruson Building
« on: February 06, 2015, 11:29:04 AM »
I decided to take the initiative to research a few places that I would love to see in the Bruson Bld and then contact them for interest.  I focused on chains that I wouldn't mind patronizing.  I know a lot of you don't want chains, but whatever.  If we're going to end up with chains, I would be far from upset with having the following in our nabe.  I emailed Pret a Manger and Hale and Hearty to see if they wanted to expand into JH - they politely said no.  I also looked up Au Bon Pain, Potbelly, Panera, The Hummus and Pita Co, and Crunch gym - they are all individually-owned franchises so no dice.  I got a standard email back from NYSC and Bally's saying they would forward my email to the appropriate department.  Surprisingly, the email I sent 24 Hour Fitness did not go through, even though I sent it via their website. Oh well.  Anyone want to share their experiences contacting stores/eateries they want to see here?  This is such a great thread!
