I took these photos a few weeks ago of 8709 34th Ave.

This is one is from the outside of the building.

This one is the entry door of the lobby and peculiar choice of tile at the foyer.

This is a view from the 2nd and 3rd floors.  It's a nice view of 34th Ave.

I love this photo!  The person standing under the El, in his wildest dreams, probably never imagined all the hustle and bustle that goes on under the #7 line today.  What a difference.  I wonder at what point of the 7 line this photo was taken at.  Since contruction began on or around 1914, it must be at some point west.

I just found this forum and I am totally thrilled.  I had lived in jack hts all my life till I moved out in the 80s... but I have some pictures that I took right before Fields closed.  I will find them and upload them. I think that was in 1979.

I have never found a better neighborhood than Jackson Heights and probably never will.

That would be great! Anything from the Jackson Heights 70's is always great to see. There doesn't seem to be a lot of it online.

Slightly off-topic, but one of the artists behind the train-scendant "Queens is the Future" mural has a website and some new murals in Bed-Stuy.

   We are still waiting!!

Off the subject, I'll give you a picture off the JH area...This was shot in Nisibon in DR.  This boat has been there for over 15 years (I'm on a 200 by 1000 ft lot)

Buddy, I purchased the property about 12 years ago.  It took me 6 years to get the titles straight and consolidated.  During that time about 30% of the property was skimmed by an attorney and a neighboring owner.  The property should be about 300 by 1000 but I'll have to address this issue in the courts but it doesn't look good unless I'm willing to fund another law suit and fund it for 2 or 3 years...(I'm tired already)

The pictures are taken from my property but there is not much to do there yet beside horse back riding and sun worshipping...lol.  About 5 or 6 minutes ride on the beach (on a 4x4 obviously) you can find a spot name La Vacama or Lava Cama and you can hang, drink off road etc.  Here's a couple of pictures of it....

Hey, we should start a Travels photoforum.... ???

I'm going to see my 15 year old in Vero beach tomorrow...I'll be back on Monday.  I hope you don't miss me too much JHLifers.. :'(

74st. Broadway Roosevelt taken between Broadway and 41st Ave. Can't remember the exact date but thinking I shot this late 70's early 80's. Would love to see 60's 70's and 80's Jackson Heights pics if people have them.
