i think having a bareburger anywhere remotely close to jackson heights is asking too much. it would be nice if Emoji Burger had the same set up

According to what I read on the JH Families yahoo group, Bareburger does have plans to open in JH.  I don't think the plans are fully formed, as the owner didn't commit to saying exactly when it would happen.

I wish Emojiburger would take over the pharmacy next door, call it Emoji Bar and create a pass through window.  I think that would be better than a bareburger. There may be an issue with it being to close to a school though.  And who knows if they have a desire, or the funds necessary to do that.

Emoji Burger has enough issues operating the space they already have. You can barely hear the lady taking the phone orders, they need to get on Seamless, they need to hire at least 1 more person, switch to romaine lettuce, add more meat to the patty and figure out a way to add more flavor to it :D

I like their focus on green practices.  I like that they are a Queens based chain.  I do not think they have the best burgers in the world, but IMO they are decent (personally I think Burger club off of Newtown in Astoria is better).  The one's Ive been to have been consistent, which is good, and something I think our emoji burger is struggling with (see other posts). I guess what excites me most is to have a local burger joint that serves beer.

Re: LIC, there are some wonderful restaurants, and I've been remiss to see some go (like Crankys).  I'm curious Jeff, what reataurants in LIC do you feel deserve more patronage?  Many, like LIC Market (which has a great burger, btw), seem to be doing really well.

LIC Market is great but its not in that area. In that area, I think Casa Enrique, tournesol, Jora, Hibino are good. I love 51st Ave Bakery.

And don't miss Mu Ramen if you haven't tried it yet!

they need to get on Seamless

I ordered from them on Seamless about a week and a half ago. I thought the regular burger (Da Wink), thought it was pretty good actually. We also had the O'Dada, that one got a rating of "it's ok".

I'll definitely try it again if I'm craving a burger.

Yep. They're definitely on seamless. We've ordered delivery and it was fast.

I agree, i like bareburger in several aspects. I find the food fresh and delicious and there is a fairly good variety to choose from, unlike emoji burger (which i like also).  I thought that lic restaurants were doing pretty good for the most part, they seem to be busy when i pass by.   I thought Crankys was hit or miss, seemed to have inconsistent items.

But then you'd be changing it from what it's supposed to be: a "good fast food burger" -  into what it's not, which is a restaurant burger.  And romaine is just a preference - to me, romaine completely ruins a burger because it's limp.

agree with Lilybell on both counts. this is the same size as a shake shack or in and out or smashburger,  and at just over four bucks, it's a good deal. sure, they could make it an eight ounce burger and bring the price up to eight bucks, but that's not really what this kind of place is about.

I had Ole Fries in the shop and they were perfect. My husband had a burger and said it needed more meat.  We never got the drinks we ordered.  Too chaotic.  But my Fries were truly awesome.

Nice to have a place in the neighborhood.  I wish them success  Still prefer Ottomanelli's café in Woodside

I agree.  Just had an Ottomanelli burger the other day.  It was excellent!

We got stuff from here a long time ago (6-7 years?) but they were closed for a lengthy amount of time. I had nearly forgotten about them, good to see they are back. Maybe I'll go back soon. :)
