If anyone knows of someone who could do this kind of work, I'd appreciate the referral.  Thanks.

We will be playing there the next several weeks, doing the Great American Songbook - the best songs ever written.  Drop by, eat and or drink, and enjoy..    Novo - 37th Ave. between 78th and 79th Sts.   [My best gig ever - two blocks from where I live.]

On a regular basis;  the details have not been totally ironed out with Novo however.

The trio will be playing and singing classic songs from the Great American Songbook.  Stay warm, eat and drink, and enjoy classic songs from 2-4.

It may not help at all, but to touch all the bases, you should call 311 a few times and register the problem.  Bloomberg's administration has gotten much better at responding to these calls.

I am selling this coffee table because we got a larger one for our new living room.

This top of this table is made of hand engraved brass, with pictures of many different animals. The legs and base are custom made of hard maple with spoon feet, hand stained and polyurethaned so they are waterproof. Unlike the usual sling-like stand that comes with these tables, this base is totally rock steady. The tripod-like stands that these always come with are never very stable.

It measures 30 ½” across, and 18 ½” high. I do not know the age of the tray; it clearly has some age; but the condition is excellent – no dents or scratches.

$50 and take it away.  It's not very heavy, but I will help carry to a car if you'd like.

We are selling a Sharp 12,000 BTU window air conditioner, with digital display and remote.  EER of 10.8, Energy Star compliant.  We moved into our apartment in September of 2007, so it is almost new.  The reason we are selling it is that we bought a soundproof interior window and this air conditioner cannot be pushed far back enough so that it clears.  This cost $440 at PC Richard, including tax and delivery.  We are selling it for $200.  Buyer must pick it up;  will take two people certainly to carry it.  We are located on 35th Ave. in the seventies.

Neighborhood Chat / Wood cut to size
« on: March 21, 2008, 05:21:48 AM »
Is there anyone in the neighborhood that could cut some 2x4's or plywood to size for a project I'm doing?  I asked at a couple of the hardware stores, but they didn't do it.  We live around 77th and 35th.  Thanks.

Neighborhood Chat / Packing/Shipping
« on: February 12, 2008, 01:24:56 AM »
Hello-

I need to send several moderately large antiques to Europe.  Does anyone know who might do packing and shipping in the general area of 35th and 77th?

Thanks.

Restaurants & Food / Re: Deshi Biryani

We went to Deshi Biryani and were unimpressed.  My wife ordered the house specialty and it was only so-so; as was my biryani.

We're back in circulation, so if you're still interested in the table, let us know.

We are selling our coffee table because we moved in a short while ago, and it is slightly too big for the space.  It is solid teakwood, with hand wrought wonderful antique Indian ironwork.  The top of the table is glass, removed in the picture so that you can see the quality of detail.  Pictures are as follows:

We paid over $700 for it, but we are selling it for $100.  You have to remove it, and will need two people to carry it, for sure.
