Well Finally!!!!! HIT THE ROAD HIRAM, it is despicable that he ran a campaign smearing Peralta and a homophobic  campaign of vitriolic slurs.  Did anyone see the black & white piece left on windshields.  It is amazing that hey had women out on the campaign trail handing out MONSTER RAT leaflets who seemed oblivious to his face slashing , holding up the senate for ransom and  getting expelled from the senate,  antics.

He is really a sorry character, pathetic and delusional.  He needs to attack and deny equal rights to the gay community while saying he stands for "the community." Hello look around this community, diversity is its' middle name. Well I guess  HIS  community is  a good old God fearing, wife beating, face slashing, ego fueled cauldron of hate and corruption......now don't let him get anywhere in the run for Peralta's seat because you know he will try. Support Bryan Pu Folkes..... Lets hope Montserrate  doesn't fall and trip while carrying a wine glass and accidentally, oh my God I am sorry, cut someone and try to take them to another hospital outside the district so no one knows it happened....it would be a shame.

Hiram, remember these words?

“The people of this district, and only them, they are my bosses," Monserrate said during a news conference Thursday at his East Elmhurst office. “I will fight to the end to defend their rights and to ensure the voters in my district are not disenfranchised.”

People have spoken--loudly!  :smitten:   Say goodnight Gracie.  Say goodbye Hiram.   :coolsmiley:

Phew, what a relief!!

But now that Peralta has won, we need to let him know that we have high expectations of him to listen to his constituents, get things done, and generally to do the right thing!

AMEN!

anyone have a link to the concession speech?

I too, would very much like to see Mr. Monserrate's concession speech.  I'd be grateful to anyone who could post a link.

WPIX as well.

now for monserrate to claim bias on the part of ...um....reality.

after all, the tooth fairy could've swooped down and stolen ballots cast for him and passed them on to the easter bunny, who made them into the flossy green stuff people use for kids' baskets.

yeah, that's the ticket!

 I love your wit!

But still, very happy with the results!

Oh, we definitely haven't seen the last of Hiram!  After all, what else is he qualified to do except be an overdeveloped-ego driven political operative?

True.  One thing I've learned in 40 years in Jackson Heights, the crazies have a way of popping up whack-a-mole style, ad infinitum. (My inbox on yahoo is proof of that ...)
