A good hospital ?  Besides Bellevue , Elmhurst is the best trauma   in NYC. And they're are tons of Doctors in the historic district.
QM22  bus is express from 77 street and 31 ave

Green park ?  either Flushing meadows or the Elmjack fields
The bookstore, whole foods, Healthy rest  etc will come. Once more people leave Brooklyn for JK

We had a rollerskating rink..USA..I was a stake guard..Too many shooting and stabbings..

JK had Castle Heights bar..but it wasn't a hipster bar..hard rock..metal and Punk..but I do wish this area had a good rock n roll bar...Personally..I'm not a big fan of hipsters

1. few more young ladies running around, english speaking and uncovered. When I visit my friends in hip brooklyn, I am in awe.

2. great pizza place. Ginos and Johns in elmhurst are really good, but they are a little too far.

3. great japanese restaurant/sushi bar.

Terazza is pretty hip. Colombian hipsters are there. Which I prefer because I can't understand the annoying things that probably come out of their mouths. I can just drink and watch.

Some of the things I wish i could get here in Woodside..
1. Record/CD store..we had 2 of the best..Record Room and Numbers
2. German deli..used to have the best one in Queens on Roosevelt Ave between 82-83 street
3. A "luncheonette"  that serves lime rickeys..egg creams..great egg salad sandwiches...knishes
4. A rock n roll bar/pub..no hipsters..just people who love RnR..all kinds
5. a real pizza joint...i hate the fact that i have to drive to maspeth to get a decent slice of pizza
6. Bookstore..local not some crappy chain
7. a beer distributor ..remember those ?
8. Another Dragon Seed ..Polynesian  Style..with crazy drinks and the waiters are all dressed up like Don Ho

which is your place in maspeth? joeys? rosas? Ive heard good things about rosas and was just so so with joeys. I am a big fan of Johns though. I think they are one of the best in the borough. THE best though, in my opinion, and this might start a firestorm of pizza opinions, is Amore in flushing. That place is something else.

Great topic.  Our last conversation like this died out a year ago, so it's about time to revive it!

As I wrote in that other thread, I'd love to see a good Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant.  I don't see why Steinway St. should have a monopoly!  It would be welcomed by people in our neighborhood looking for healthier and/or vegetarian options, as well as people looking for Halal alternatives.

Please dont get me started on elmhurst hospital I'd rather die in the street than be taken there. Too many incidents throughout 20 yrs that I've been living here
