BIG dip in new COVID patients today. https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/covid/covid-19-main.page

Have to correct my post. Sometime between 8 and 11pm the NYC DOH uploaded new PDFs, and the numbers are UP. We nearly doubled confirmed cases from yesterday. Now I understand why they wrote "Data updates will appear later today" and why the dates and times were wrong.

I think the neighborhood of Corona is being impacted severely by the virus. Is there anything we can do to help our communities? This is heartbreaking

Re: Corona, where are the numbers for different neighborhoods? I only see articles about Elmhurst Hospital, which serves the entire area. Also you can get numbers borough by borough. But I haven't seen anything about just Corona.

I believe the city has data on certain conditions/diseases at the below link/database.
Although not explicitly listed as coronavirus, there's a way to look at "Influenza-Like Illness" (ILI) in this database by zip code. This would almost certainly be Coronavirus cases even though they may not be officially tested and confirmed as such.
I think you can look at the data updated through a day or so ago, so seems it is updated timely.
I'll have to play around with it later today when I have some time, but I saw someone was able to show "ILI" by zip code across the city. Corona, Queens was a big outlier compared to all other zip codes

World Central Kitchen is enlisting volunteer chefs to donate meals at Catalina Cruz's offices in Corona and an increasing number of locations in the five boroughs and nationally.  This group, started by Chef Jose Andres, has set up to serve victims of hurricanes, earthquakes and wildfires -- and now a pandemic.

Does anyone know good community charities or organizations that can help those in need during this time? Organizations that can help provide food, medical care or monetary aid to those in Corona or even Jackson Heights that need it during this pandemic that we can make a donation to?

Is the helicopter(s) flying over Jackson Heights this afternoon a medical helicopter transporting patients out of Elmhurst Hospital to other facilities? Appears to be circling back over towards Elmhurst Hospital. Thankfully Elmhurst Hospital appears to be getting much needed support/assistance
