It's always worth reviving an old thread for Cannelle Patisserie.  I'm so happy to see that the location at East Elmhurst is expanding to the adjacent storefront! Keeping my fingers crossed that they bring us more variety in bread.   ;D

Here's an idea.

One of the stores (E77, Pauglina, Lemon Farm, Starbucks, City Coffee, whoever)
should sell Cannelle's bread/patisseries on 37th Ave.

I saw that when we went last weekend, and thought it can’t happen enough. It was a bloodsport for us to find a place to sit.

Today, during COVID, we decided to host 2 friends for lunch.  We made a vegetarian soup, and decided to pick up desert at Cannelle.
I was expecting to find an apricot or pear tart, but they had an apple pie!  I could not resist, and it was amazing!
This place is an amazing part of the neighborhood!  We are sooooo lucky to have this!

Do they have customers? I am wondering why they are doing ok but Farine is gone. Is north of Northern Blvd a different world?

They always have customers. The quality is exceptional and the prices are quite reasonable. If you've never been, go and you will understand.

I was not wondering about the quality of the food. I was wondering about the willingness of people to buy prepared food during covid. You can not reheat a layer cake.

The cheaper rent is one of the factors.
