Just in time for flower season at the beautiful gardens of Saint Marks, there will be a Flea Market!

May 3rd Saint Marks Church - 3350 82nd St will be having their Flea Market. 9-4. For information on availability of tables call 718-639-8893.

Food, Yes! There will be food.

Bargains? Of course. Come see your neighbors, come see US! Buy treasures! Sell treasures. Remember if there isn't room in my house for something, then it will most likely look great in yours!

Pets and Animals / Little white dog found

A very clean and very lost dog was found wandering Jackson Heights with no tags or any other identification.  She is housebroken, very sweet and calm  and in need of a loving home.  If you can find a place in your heart and in your home for her, please contact Michelle at MichellePichardo@me.com.

I don't know if this is new news or aged, but when I was down at Foodtown yesterday I saw a sign in the window saying the thrift store is closed until further notice.

Saint Mark's Church, located at 34th Ave between 81st & 82nd Sts is having their Christmas Bazaar this Saturday!

Lots of foods for sale, crafts, an antiques table, and our fabulous kitchen will be open.

Come on over, you won't be disappointed!

How many had trouble with (a) being turned away from their polling place or (b) were unable to see the ballot despite the magnifying glass?

I went to IS145 and the voting assistants outnumbered the voters.

I hope someone out there knows that these ballots were some kind of interim (failed) experiment and plans are afoot to make a readable ballotl

Well, we didn't get any hits on book clubs for Seniors - or for any resources to help them stay in their homes.

Do any of the religious institutions in the neighborhood have Senior programs? I know St. Mark's doesn't. It has benches to sit on, but sitting isn't the point.
