A few weeks back there was a TEDx event held at my co-working space (WeWork) in Long Island City, which made me wonder what it would take to hold a similar event in Jackson Heights. TEDx has a lengthy application process but there's also other possible formats like pecha kucha, ignite, etc.
Would anyone be interested in co-organizing something like this?

Restaurants & Food / Best meals in JH for delivery?

Really enjoyed the recent thread on $8 lunches in the neighborhood and it also got me wondering wondering (particularly as I have a foot injury meaning I'm stuck working from home at the moment) what are some good options to order food for delivery?

When my wife and I get takeaway we usually order from a local favorite of ours: Sompong Thai - our usual request being Chicken Red Curry, their house salad, Sweet Sticky Coconut Rice and Roti.

I'd like to try something new though - what are your top recommendations?

Neighborhood Chat / Looking for a meeting room for a local business meetup - any suggestions?

I run a local business meetup for freelancers and entrepreneurs which gathers every first Tuesday morning of the month and am looking for other places to enquire about meeting space.

At the moment we're meeting at Espresso 77 and the BNCA which allows us to use their space once every quarter.
BCNA is ideal, whereas Espresso 77 is usually not too crowded but will get tricky when we have a lot of people attending without disrupting other folk.

I've tried these other places so far:
- Jackson Heights Library
- Jewish center

Does anyone have any other suggestions of where I could try?
