I know someone who was in Starbuck's at about 8:30PM when the window shattered.  It simply shattered on it's own.  No person caused it.  The fire department arrived soon after and ordered everyone out which resulted in the store closing.  They boarded the window.  No injuries.

Oh that's weird!  Similar thing happened in my office building a few months back.  Happy to hear that nobody was injured!  I wish they'd fix the window though - not pretty. lol

Weird! (And here I was afraid that Hiram Monserrate walked by and "accidentally" shoved someone through the plate glass window.)  ;)

Someone ties up their dog in front of this Starbucks pretty much every morning, between 7 and 8 or so. The dog then proceeds to bark like crazy until his/her owner comes back out for her/him. It's a big dog with a big bark, and it can often be a long wait.

Is the person leaving the dog and sitting inside or is it just a run in/out thing?

I'm not sure. I live close by, and the barking and crying sometimes wakes me up. It can go on for a long while, too. A couple of times, I've walked by and seen the dog-- it's a big white one. If I were his/her owner, I'd get my coffee and THEN take her for a walk (or vice versa). The dog is obviously very distressed and it's inconsiderate to everyone in at least a 1-block radius of the place.
