Louie's is excellent. the place in the walgreen's mall (forget the name) has good Sicilian. even Gianni is decent.

Where is Rocco's? I don't like Brunos (in the waldbaums center) I don't think they have any flavor. I liked Rosa's better. Giannis is ok. I like the owner (very nice guy) but the pizza doesn't wow me. I have yet to tried Louie's, it is way too far for me. I have been making my own. I really miss Brooklyn Pizza.:(

do they have breakfast type stuff or just pizza in the morning?

and I stopped ordering from Gianni's because they take so long, plus it's expensive and nothing special.

I've been mostly ordering from Daro's Pizza and Chicken in Woodside because they're on seamless, cheap (large hawaiian for $12), decent and usually pretty quick for delivery.

Rocco's is really in Astoria but they deliver to me, I definitely make sure I tip them well (at least $5) and not order $12 of stuff. It's a long haul for them to dip into the neighborhood but it's the best pizza that delivers by far, especially if you like thin crust. I'm talking the Brick Oven stuff, they also have regular crust as well I think. Don't expect them to keep delivering if you nickel and dime them..

EDIT: I get a little worried each time I call in that it might be the last.. :P

looked that way earlier today, though no sign of tearing it apart inside. could be a DOH closure? sometimes owners sneak the stickers off the door while addressing violations

Although its been many years, I do remember that two other well known names also were interested in this site but Famous Pizza made the best offer.  Two others were Starbuck's and Ottomanelli.  This is an ultra prime location that won't be vacant for very long.  It will be interesting to see who the next tenant is.

The sign on the door at Famous Famaglia Saturday said it the property was closed by the city marshal. It was not a Department of Health closure, from what I could tell.

If there's a sign from the marshal's office it's because they haven't paid the rent.
