This thread is set to self-destruct when somebody types the True Last Word.  But, alas, in 1,079 posts, nobody has hit upon the magic word yet!   ;)

What is the absolute last word in any dictionary?

Zyxt is listed as the last word in the online Oxford English Dictionary, an obsolete Kentish word that is the second singular indicative present form of the verb see. The next-to-last is zyxst, an obsolete word meaning 'sixth'. Several online dictionaries list the word zyzzyva, a tropical American weevil, as the last word in the letter Z.

Sometimes, when you get a bag of rice or pasta from a supermarket, it's been invaded by zyzzyvas (or zyzzyvaz in the hood).  Bummer!

I've been wanting to tell Madalyn for a whole year.... but the thread was locked up!

Zyzzyva (s) (z) aren't flour or grain bugs.
They eat plants and destroy crops!
