No, I always get sticker shock every time I pay for my yogurt, too.  Close to $5. bucks after toppings.  I pretend it's healthy (I don't think it really is) and I pretend it's my meal (it never is - usually a snack) so I try to fool myself.

It doesn't work.
First, do no harm.

So Normelrod says on another thread that Yofiore closed...so we are down one frozen yogurt place.  :tickedoff:

Apparently we're not down one frozen yogurt place.  The Yofiore is now Yogurberry (82nd and Roosevelt).

That's a surprise.  I would have predicted the other way around.  Yogurberry is a very successful international chain, but I had heard that a local entrepreneur opened our branch of Yogurberry to learn the biz while launching Yofiore.  I wonder if the whole Yofiore chain will now revert to Yogurberrry.

I had froyo from Red Mango today in Chelsea, and I'm sad to say that all of the frozen yogurt I've had in JH pales in comparison.  :(

When will we get a Red Mango?

I see another Korean-run frozen yogurt shop has opened here.  It's called Yogo Togo and is across the street from Pacific Market.  Haven't tried it yet.  Have you?

There's a Colombian cafe/bakery/lunch place that has moved into the front left space of the mini-mall on 37th between 83rd and 84th.  (This is the space that used to be a huge beauty supply.)  I haven't been inside so I'm not sure if they specialize in baked goods or something else.

Noticed that they have signs out front indicating they have frozen yogurt.  Very tempting on a day like this!  :P

The salad bar place on 82nd St. approximately across from the theatre on the Elmhurst side of Roosevelt sells frozen yogurt.  It's only $1 and an additional $1 for toppings.  Tried it today and it was quite good!  There's a large upstairs with cafe seating if you don't like eating on the street.
