Hello Everybody!! I posted here once before that my wife and I were moving to Jackson Heights and everybody welcomed us..Thank you. We finally moved in 3 weeks ago.

I asked a question about bars in the area and how we liked to go out early (happy hour times) and be home early (We are lame). I read a few past posts and the only places that seem to have what we are looking for are Legends, Cassidy's and the Ready Penny Inn.
I wouldn't consider us beer snobs but I do like a better selection then the usual belly wash I been reading these places serve. Are there any other suggestions or is that it for now.

Hopefully it gets better. I lived in Williamsburg my whole life and with easy access to the city and then the area chinging itself, I got a little spoiled.

not really a beer snob area, for better or worse. a dear friend who works as a vintner in oregon gave a reasonably warm review to novo for wines by the glass; delhi heights bartender actually makes a decent martini and other mixed drinks (with a nibble or two thrown in). but as far as hoppiness? sorry, i am baffled.

I've been a JH resident from 1997 to 2002, I moved to Atlanta, GA and just came back this December in JH around 92ND street.... Nothing make me feel home like JH neighbourhood...
I have 2 kids (2 and 7 yrs old). Does anyone can give a name for a good pediatrician.

Hi, Hope everyone is also enjoying the snow day! I recently posted for the first time. I really enjoy this site for keeping up with the neighborhood and look forward to getting to know the area even better. I still consider myself a lifelong JH resident (moved here when I was an infant) even though my current zipcode states otherwise - it is mostly referred to as East Elmhurst or I even get Flushing a lot. The one thing I do not miss is the parking. I was just talking about this the other day where we would actually not take out the car because we did not want to deal with endless task of looking for a spot. Now I deal with people blocking my driveway.

Born there in '58.
Moved to L.A. in '78.
Back last year to visit.
The Berkley first and then the Towers were home...
