The smoke is very heavy right now and we are getting out of the apartment (we are on the south side and at times we can't even see the building across the street because of the smoke)

No injuries have been reported as of yet. NYPD helicopter at the scene for crowd control.

Im afraid the entire row of stores is on fire. The liquor store on 84 is gone and i thought i saw the art gallery on the other side of the furn store on fire too

Remember there are stores with chemicals in that row - cleaners, art store, etc.
The black smoke is still pouring out.

Copter just left. So quiet now. Just sad. I bought some beautiful pieces at that furniture store. I had plans to buy a desk there.

My little ones are really worried and somewhat anxious, especially the little princess as we walked out to the street to see the smoke.  We are here praying and praying hard and loud.

Strange question but is that the street where Cavalier was located?
