As much as I might fantasize about throwing bricks through car windows (all just fancies in my head of course), I think printing physical stickers and encouraging the vandalization of other people's property is morally wrong.

You are entitled to your own moral system. Mine is that it's a pain to clean off no matter what your income level. It democratic punishment and no one else is willing to punish them. I think people need to be corrected sometimes.

I think the big problem here is this is illegal and you are making money from it.

^how so?

posting on the forum is a bit of marketing for his Etsy shop, but I'm not seeing how putting the stickers on the cars is a marketing activity with a positive ROI.

(Note, I'm not taking a position about whether it's right or wrong. I have mixed feelings about this tactic of minor retaliation.)

oh please.... im a local dealing with local issues... its def more art than anything else... i am more than happy to give anyone the design and they can print it out themselves. funny how suspicious people always are. Do you ask friends for free tickets to their show then spend 80 bucks to see coldplay?

also, i think punishment deters bad behavior.

Some driver could consider your behavior bad and you could  get punched out or much worse.  Road rage is a real thing and you could become a victim of this rage if you put a sticker on the wrong car.

Illegally defacing private property does not deter bad behavior.  Thankfully, it would make you subject to arrest

I've already gone through this with a news station. It's a sticker. It causes no damage. You're in the clear.

Maybe so. I don't need to fight, I just walk away. I did my piece. How far will they leave their car?

With a news station? How about a police station?

Why do you object to someone asking *one of your critics* how you make money off of putting stickers on cars?

I am just saying it's so miniscule that it doesn't make a big deal at all. It's not a business, it's just a place to show.

You are vandalizing or encouraging others to vandalize property belonging to others.  Two wrongs do not make right.

yeah, I actually kind of agree with you, though Etsy is a marketplace to sell, whether or not you ever actually sell anything. I'm not sure how NYS defines vandalism, but an annoying bumper sticker to scrape off doesn't, in my mind, rise to the level of destruction or damage to property that I would associate with vandalism. I'm not sure the legal system would agree with my interpretation though. I don't know that I'm entirely comfortable with people sticking bumper stickers on other people's property either. Like, if someone stuck a Trump sticker on my car I'd be pretty upset.
