Full service hardware store = Home Depot on 72nd/25th, also one on Northern Blvd
Smaller hardware stores = all over JH
Cookware = Amazon or any other website, BBBY on 72nd/25th (they do in-store pickup)
Demonstration = YouTube/Blogs/Forums, I've never gone wrong and it's efficient
Design Services = Find a good handyman and use him for all those things

The problem with Home Depot, etc. (use frequently along with the small stores) is that they might have 1 of the
thing that you are looking for but not much range and certainly not contemporary. Demos in person like what they
do at Williams Sonoma sells alot of stuff! Good handymen can do some things great, some ok and some they should
be honest and admit they haven't done said thing before but will try is my experience. BBBY is generic in my opinon
and this would be a store that has a bit more zing. But affordable. And when I go to other neighborhoods that have
these, the sense of community is wonderful too which is not in anything mentioned by the Amazin one. We used to
have a very high end Home Depot near the Bulova Center but it was a bit ahead of its time and closed fairly quickly.
Now I think we could easily handle more than generic goods and the prices they command.
