Recommended Peditricians & Daycare?

Hi guys,

We're moving to JH and are expecting a baby boy. We're wondering if there're any recs for a good peditrician & daycare/childcare center?

Hi llh-- welcome!

Have you heard of/checked out the JH baby google groups? Basically each season (ex. 'spring babies 2015') there is an informal group formed and they keep in touch via email, sharing tips, meeting up frequently at the beginning when all the babies are young, etc. There is a moderator who can put you in touch with your season's group-- you can search in the JH families yahoo site for her contact or PM me for more info. Our group alone has over 35 families-- its been a priceless resource for us and we've formed such a great little community.

As for pediatricians: We go to Dr. Halac/ Dr. Hate/Dr. Guidera group practice on broadway. We've been mostly happy with them. Some others use Tribeca Pediatrics in LIC.

We live in LIC and haven't moved yet (next month). But we anticipate continuing our visits to TriBeCa Pediatrics. Our 2.5 year old has been going since he was born. Why switch it up when they've been great so far. I recommend them.

Second Tribeca LIC location. That's where we go. As far as daycares, not many nearby accept infants. Children of America does but they have a long waiting list. Rainbowland starts at 10 months although they may let you in a couple of months early. Good luck.

Does anyone here send their toddlers to CHILDREN OF AMERICA QUEENS or 82ND STREET ACADEMICS or Jackson Heights Early Learning Center at St.Marks? These are the 3 I found.
