Espresso 77
« on: March 08, 2016, 03:38:55 PM »
I was just curious if anyone had any news on when they are re-opening. For some reason I had it in my mind it was supposed to be the end of January or early February.
Thanks!

I don't think so, they didn't close to start renovation and expansion until after the first of the year. Things seem to be coming along pretty good; if the light's right you can see through the triangle cut outs around the construction shed door....

Their post about the timeline for renovation was closing on January 11th, with an expected closure of a month. My guess is like just about like all renovation, it always takes longer than expected. Hopefully they'll be open again soon.

I don't know if I've seen any posts from them about hiring, but since the space will be bigger and they should be able to handle more customers and hopefully will need more staff, that would be a good indication that the reopening is just around the corner.

It better be, the people of JH paid for it.

To be fair..."the people of JH" did not pay for it.  Only those who chose to do so contributed.

Not enough coffee in the poster's life, probably. Certainly not enough pistachio bread. Something I'm happy to see will be solved soon.

Pistachio bread?   Somehow I've been missing out on that as well!  I'm eager to try it after the grand re-opening.

it is, and it looks great. happy to be working from home today to check it out. the space is airy, comfortable and, thankfully, not crowded with tables. food offerings look to be pretty much the same, which is a positive, as far as i'm concerned :)

Oh mg mg mg, tomorrow I'll shower early in the morning and get ready to have a peppermint tea and whatever looks wonderful.

Finally, finally a place to sit and people watch plus make new lists.

What a wonderful nights sleep I'll have tonight.

It's so easy to make an oldie happy....

Thumbs up on the renovation. Looks like it's practically doubled in size.  Here's a panoramic from the back, and here's their new beer selection on tap!
