Glass fabricator & marble fabricator - recommendations?
« on: February 05, 2014, 09:27:21 PM »
Hello, I'm new to posting here, but I've been reading JHL for several months now, as we searched for our new home. The comments and feedback here have been so helpful. We closed last month and will be moving in April after some work to our apartment is done.

I will be looking for a local marble fabricator if anyone has a recommendation? Also, our shower has a cool art deco door but I want to replace the frosted glass with clear glass and would like to give the work to a local fabricator if possible. Oh, and an iron works to replace the current bars on the fire escape window with something more decorative.

We are so looking forward to the move. You all seem like good people!

Best,

Sally

There is a local contractor/developer who used to post quite a bit on this site.  He has given some recommendations for local suppliers in the past.  Check http://www.jacksonheightslife.com/community/index.php?topic=4565.msg30366#msg30366

I've used SMC Stone in Greenpoint a few times for countertops.  They have a good showroom / warehouse, prices are average.  http://www.smcstone.com/
