Authentic, fresh & flavorful Afghan food & interesting menu. They have things for vegetarians as well. Cozy dining room & good service. Check it out.

great place. been going there for (oy I am old) 20 years now. I remember right after 9/11 -- like 48 hours after -- the owners painted over the word 'Afghan' everywhere it appeared on their signage. they were saddened by the events and worried about their livelihood, but they stayed the course. love their food and vibe.

a lot of places run by strict adherents to Islam won't serve alcohol or allow it to be brought in by patrons. Same with a lot of church-lady run places in the American south.

the food is good, but personally I think it is overpriced.

Most of restaurant profits are driven by alcohol sales, so it makes sense that if they're a dry restaurant they have to price their menu a little higher to cover expenses. We've eaten there once, and enjoyed it very much, and the people that work there are lovely, we just don't eat out very much. But well worth a visit for some excellent food and hospitality.
