"Quality of life" infractions are not being pursued in the way they once were.

I've always loved the food at Arunee, but the new location and decor has made me a fan for life.  I'm really hoping the other restaurants in the neighborhood will take notice of the crowds at the new Arunee and step it up a notch.

Maybe I'm being optimistic, but I see this as a real turning point for Jackson Heights.

$7K a month - I can't believe not one's scooped that up yet?

Does anyone know what the rent might be on this space?

Just walked by tonight and there was a Marshall's notice on the door.  Looked like it was unexpected as nothing looks disturbed inside, art still on the walls.

This makes me really sad.  One of my favorite places in JH.

 :'( :'( :'( :'(

I agree with Daisy!  Will there be anyplace for adults, you know, the people who actually pay taxes?  Adults without children are BANNED from many parks with playgrounds.

Reading this thread makes me sad about Jackson Heights.  It reminds me that everything cultural & "arty" I do, I do outside this neighborhood.

No theater, no art galleries, no independent film, no rock music venues. Lots of dollar stores, though!

I know NOVO gets a lot of negative comments, but I have to say I went last night with a friend and we had a great time.  Excellent calamari, with two kinds of dipping sauces, pasta with chicken and terrific salmon made for a delicious meal.  Oh, and two glasses of Sangria.  I'll be going back soon.

Yep, saw that the tacky metal grating was down - good work.  See you at the polls.

I actually saw Jose Peralta going into the space with an entourage over the weekend.  So he knows what t looks like.

Peralta's campaign office is an eyesore.  The metal grating covering the window can NOT be up to any kind of code.  The man comes to 37th Avenue, sets up a disgrace of a campaign office asking for neighborhood votes?  The entitlement of the campaign is overwhelming.  Does his campaign office reflect the way he will be in office?  If so I think I'll stay home...  :'(
