It seems the MTA continues to not follow federal law. How does this make sense in light of the new plan to have busses only stop at one non compliant station?

How can our elected officials allow this to occur?

Neighborhood Chat / Jackson Heights buildings
« on: December 20, 2019, 05:55:50 AM »
After this tragic incident I realized how vulnerable we all are in Jackson Heights because we have many tall buildings. Are there any buildings that people avoid walking under because of damage?

Neighborhood Chat / Reaction from the Democratic Presidential Debate

Who do you believe won and who do you support?

I believe it was a disaster of of bunch of people arguing about who will give more benefits to illegals. What about actual American citizens?

School busing will never happen nation wide.

Few want the elimination of private insurance.

Maybe she can see what bad service is offered to local residents. Really a shame that this hospital lacks many modern amenities.

Neighborhood Chat / Crowley joins top lobbying firm

Should the head of the Queens Democrat party be a guy who works as a lobbyist in DC?

So if you want to be elected you hire this firm.

Neighborhood Chat / Politicians and their economic agenda
« on: February 18, 2019, 02:36:02 PM »
Now after Governor Cuomo and Mayor Dumbo Deblasio have failed to deliver on Amazon we have this NYS boondoggle. The Buffalo Billion!

Too bad they didn’t install these solar panels around where people live and electricity is expensive. Maybe we would get some cleaner air.

Both AOC and Gianaris have degrees in economics but don’t understand modern business practices. They then tell the people who have no education that the city is handing Amazon $3 billion. They claim victory by distorting the reality. People who have little education then sing songs and build a piñata with Bezos on top. They claim they defeated the richest man in the world. Most of these people are probably not here legally and follow the promises of free everything and legalization of status.

Neighborhood Chat / Zombie homes in Jackson Heights
« on: September 21, 2018, 09:48:08 AM »
Do we have any prominent homes that are zombies or full of zombies?

Shocking that the building that houses our own CB 3 (82-11 37th Ave) was just sold for $56 million.  The new owners plan to raise rents dramatically  to “reposition the property”.

Our politicians should all move their offices from there before they have to pay these dramatic increases.

Neighborhood Chat / New Airbnb bill expected to become law
« on: July 18, 2018, 08:45:49 AM »
The city seems ready to crack down on Airbnb with this new law. Do people think this is a good thing? Do people have stories of out of towner’s in their building?
