Plaka Grill and Bistro Eloise are back. I've also heard JJ Chan's Garden is back, but can't confirm.

Luckily, declawing is illegal in this state. You can take your cat to a groomer (once this passes) and get their nails trimmed, but do NOT declaw. It's a barbaric practice and I'm so glad it's illegal now.

Please don't do this. A janky 'do isn't the worst thing that could happen. https://thesource.com/2020/04/09/barber-dies-from-covid-19-after-continuing-to-cut-hair-during-pandemic/

Thanks for coming in here and clearing that up! Now that I know there are new owners, I'll give you guys another go. I'm sorry people are calling the DOB on you. There are a lot of cranks in this neighborhood—ask someone about the newsstand in front of the supermarket. Oof. Good luck!

Rolf's! There can be no other—behold this cheeseball video. So festive. The food is meh, but the sparkle is amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8z1EtWiggV8

Here's a link for the little guy. Will refrain from my thoughts on the asshole who dumped him and the sick bastards who kicked him. I can help get him neutered for free if there are any takers. https://www.nycacc.org/adopt/broadway-74688

Restaurants & Food / Re: Queensboro Grade

Have you ever worked in a bar or restaurant? Health inspectors are nitpicky jackasses whose entire reason for being is to bring in revenue from fines for the city. Sure, maybe the Queensboro could use improvement in some areas, but it's still shitty to post this on a neighborhood message board.

We used the Ikea Kitchen couple (link above) and they were great. Because the partners used to work at Ikea, they know everything you need to order and will schlep to different stores if one place runs out of something. She respected my design, but also tweaked it, making changes I would've never thought of doing. It looks great and unlike most of the asshole contractors I dealt with, it was nice to have a woman running the show since she would actually listen to my ideas and speak to me like I was an actual human being. Unlike most of the dudes we got bids from, who directed all talk to my husband, even though I was the one in charge of the project.

Just phone calls. If he cared to hear from his constituents, he could've shown up for the debate last night. But I guess he knows his actions are indefensible.

Is Crowley endorsing Peralta? I hope not.

The permit says they're putting in kitchen equipment.

This place is great—it's a coop, so all the workers are also owners. They do a great job and use all-natural products. Love them.

Also, the Times did a story on them, which is even more convincing:
