Neighborhood Chat / Pediatrician
« on: October 28, 2013, 09:07:42 PM »
I need a recommendation for a pediatrician here in Jackson Heights (or Elmhurst), My baby has one but she is in Astoria and its a pain finding parking there. Also she's planning to move majority of her practice to downtown Manhattan, so will ultimately need to find one anyway. Baby's 7 weeks old.

I would hope to find someone who's available 24/7 (as much as practical) on the phone :) Most of the pediatricians seem to do that. My current one does it.

Turns out I still had the pre-paid maintenance still valid, so ended up going to Queensboro Toyota. The guy who did the paperwork was nice enough. They called me when the car was done. There were two recalls on my car and they did that work as well. So long as I don't have any problems, I guess this was a good experience for me.

Since our building requires the supports, our super did the install.

We got it installed by our super right before the weeklong heatwave. You are a life saver :)

If I am looking at District 28, how do I know which school serves the address? Or, if the address am at falls under school district 28, I could potentially enroll in anything that falls within the zone?

Thanks everyone.

If I need to look up a certain school district and then delve deeper into particular schools, what's the best site to get that information?

Have always been doing the regular servicing at official dealerships so was looking for one. This is for a 35K mile service. Looks like I should look for other options...

I will check out the one in Flushing. Thanks.

Well sort of on the same topic. Need to get the AC hooked up. Know of anyone who can do it for reasonable price (less than 40-50$)? Got a 159$ AC from bestbuy and they charge 140$ to hook it up...

Not looking at a specific school but for some reason trulia provides those type of ratings.
Looks like PS 229 falls in the zone for that home in Woodside.
PS 99 for a home in Kew Gardens.

I am looking at a house in Woodside that shows public school rating average of 6.7. Is that any good?
