This is nice but I'd rather buy $30 in groceries instead. We regularly donate. Maybe you can ask for $$ or gift cards instead

I am desperate to find one. I keep reading reviews online and they are quite scary. Looking for one in queens-doesn't have to be JH. Hopefully one that does laser dental surgery. Thanks !!

Neighborhood Chat / How long does it take for the police to show up?
« on: September 29, 2021, 07:40:54 PM »
A man was beating the hell out of a woman outside my home in his car. She was screaming and crying. We called the police and yelled at him to stop and told her to get out of the car. He threw her out of the car while driving. She stumbled into the street with her belongings. He drove off. A fellow neighbor was talking to her. She apparently got into an Uber and it's been close to 40 minutes and the police still have not showed up. What if they were still fighting? My son wanted to go help but I was afraid the man might have had a weapon. Are we suppose to sit by and watch people be assaulted and the police do not show up?

I like El Coyote's Avocado salad. I usually take it to go because their service has gotten worse over the years.

We order from Texaslonestartamales.com  They have several varieties. My family seems to enjoy the meat ones. I like the black bean/vegan ones. They also have dessert tamales and sides.  They always run specials as well.

North of Northern is doing very bad!! Most of us were flooded out. We lost so much. All of our neighbors lost so much. The further you walk up the worse it gets!! President Biden will be here today to survey the damage.

Is the back of your building accessible from the street? Can you take a picture of the cat and post the address? Advocat rescue might be able to help. I can't seem to find a number for them but they have a website and facebook page.

I've been giving away  free stuff on the JH buy nothing facebook group. For a large amount of clothes, I donate to St Mary's church in Brooklyn. They will come and pick the clothes up. 718-529-6070

Neighborhood Chat / Possible package/credit card fraud
« on: October 14, 2020, 01:20:05 PM »
For quite a while now, we have been receiving packages to our home (we own and have no tenants) with different names. We usually call the number on the front of the package and the person who it was addressed to comes to retrieve it. One woman had three large gap orders three days in a row shipped to our house. We thought we were being neighborly by calling/tracking them etc. Lately it's becoming more and more frequent. We also noticed our neighbor's (both now deceased) home receiving packages with different names and their address. At first I thought it was a mistake on the shippers end but after receiving yet another package yesterday, realize that there has to be more to this. I googled and found some articles stating that scammers now use stolen credit cards and ship packages to different addresses and retrieve them there. Has this happened to anyone else? From now on I am going to call the company who delivered and asked what address was used to make the purchase. I don't want to be a unsuspecting middleman to a crime!

Are you positive the mamma squirrel is dead? Can you put it in a warm box near where you found it to see if the mamma comes back? Are there other babies? It might take a few hours for her to come back.  The nest might have been destroyed and Squirrels usually have several nests.

There is an East Elmhurst Living facebook page as well as Queens Lost and found pets page. Do you have a pic of the cat?
