But Wait!

A greetings to Novo's newest neighbor, then a hop over next door to have a drink! Then rent a video, get a trim - ahhh, the Heights is a Wonderful Place!!!

Do I have them in the wrong order?

Yes! Because you should get a trim first so you look good for the rest of your WILD night.  Hello! :2funny:

As I walked by there earlier today, I took a quick glance at their hours on the door.  I noticed 11:00 p.m. closing time for most days and midnight, I think on weekends.

If anybody is planning to go this evening, take pictures of this historic event.  Future generations will marvel at the "old days" before there was a Starbucks franchise in the basement of every co-op in the neighborhood.

We did.  It was packed. But I got a free chai latte, so it was worth it.  The inside was very spacious, a lot of seating.  They were also giving out samples of their desserts, yum!

I didn't go to the opening with the free beverage, however, went this am on my way to work. It was around 7:30 so not so crowded. They were quite nice. I was waiting for my coffee, and the barista who took my order thought someone else took it, and realized I was waiting for awhile. Due to this they gave me a larger beverage at a lesser cost due to the wait---great service? I also had the apple donut---yum, yum. Really impressed. I agree it's one of the nicer ones.

So the overall opinion is that it is a nice new addition to the neighborhood?

You'd better believe it's a nice addition.  Now there's something I don't have to go to Manhattan to purchase!

If you're bothered by a Starbucks jacket, I guess you don't get trash of every description -- including dirty diapers -- thrown on the sidewalk in front of your building, as we've had.

I find the service and hospitality at this Starbucks to be outstanding. Very friendly. Seems they remember their customers.

Just returned from Starbucks, and was surprised to see a good number of people in there given the time.  The place was lively and people seemed to be enjoying good conversation.  I also happened to spot Seth Kugel as he prepared to begin some work on his laptop.  I would love to have introduced myself, but husband and dog were waiting for me out in the freezing cold.  It's COLD out there tonight!

I noticed it's not just people sitting at their laptops. So, I agree there's kind of an interactive vibe going on. I saw a group of young women and their babies yesterday just sitting and talking. Varying age groups as well.
