Mama's Empanadas - 85-05 Northern Blvd.

Just was flipping through the NY Times, saw there is a Tax Compliance Auction at the site of Mama's Empanadas on 85th Street/Northern Blvd. on Wednesday.

It is really a shame, this was a good place, it will be sad to see them go.

I saw the same thing, and then noticed Mama's moved up the block (west) a few stores. They're still on Northern. I think they might have taken the space Papa's was in, but I'm not sure.

Yep, only the "to go" location was shut down due to tax issues. The one across the street is still open. Thank god because where else am I going to get chicken parm empanadas!

It is the same space Papa's was in. My dad is obsessed with the cuban sandwich at papa's, and the non-empanada menu seems to have stayed the same.
