Bathtub reglazing
« on: July 24, 2011, 06:03:26 PM »
I know we covered this some, but I couldn't find any names.

Anyone remember or recommend a company/contractor who specializes in reglazing bathtubs?

Thanks!

I remember a previous thread on this subject, it's on page 2.

"Yes. I got it done by a sub for a guy called Chris whose company is called pro star home improvements. (Tel: 347-600-8645) He was cheap, less than $400 as far as I recall. There were some bubbles on it the first time he did it. And I just discovered that my upstairs neighbor's shower was leaking into my bathroom. So it was ruined. (You have to wait min 24 hours+ for the glaze to dry.) He came back and fixed it all the very next day, put up a tarp to catch the water from upstairs so it wouldn't be ruined again. I'd highly recommend him. And Chris is a nice guy too."

"Just one piece of advice. He will paper up around the tile/wall around your bath so that the spray doesn't get on your walls. But I would advise also doing it on the rest of the tiles around the bathroom if you have any. A very fine film did get on the tiles. Mine are white like the bath so you can't see anything but you can feels a slight grittyness on the tile."
