I was showing an apartment in Astoria and it was like 4:50 PM.  I had 2 cups of coffee in the am and i was starving.  I was on my way back and i was thinking of what to eat.  Since i had Italian last night in Austin St (veal and veggies and zuppa de mussels in Pasta D'Giornio) I was thinking seafood.  Hey, wait, is that Christos Steakhouse to my right...
OK, so I gave in and just pulled over.  I was just hungry..Ordered the Porterhouse (do you see a pattern?)  No appetizers, We just went for the cow medium well with 3 sides...Cream spinach, french fries and Rigatoni in vodka sauce.  Fries were below average but the rigatoni and creamed spinach were a Homerun.  The steak was just right and I have said before..it's arguably Queens best Porterhouse

I didn't take photos this time...I was just hungry.  The photos below are exactly what you would get.  The steak is medium in this photo.  Some people would say it's expensive, but really...it is not.  Skip the appetizers and just order an extra side.  The sides are $7.50 and the porterhouse is 44 Oz.  At $85 for the porterhouse (for two)  and with 2 or three sides you are still living large people!    My Liquor bill is usually up there but I only had a couple of Merlot.

I took mys family of 6 to Nitamel in corona.  We ordered guacamole, nachos, shrimp tacos, tamales and Pinole soup.  My husband had the special cactus filled with meat. He loved it.  The tortillas are made on premises and they are really special. If you have not been you should run there.  The prices are super cheap and it it very casual great for kids.
