CB3 District Survey
« on: September 10, 2010, 01:19:16 AM »
Save the date: September 25th. Community board 3 will be doing a street survey of Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst and North Corona.  This is an opportunity to shine the light on problems in your area.  Help identify potholes, graffiti, clogged catch basins, broken curb stones, and all the other issues that are a cause of concern.  This is an opportunity to address any outstanding community problems.
Volunteers are needed to conduct the survey on individual blocks thoughout the District.  More information will be posted shortly.

Volunteers needed this Saturday to help in a survey of the streets of Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst and North Corona.  We need people to walk the streets of our communities to note problems that need fixing---potholes, broken curbs or cracked sidewalks, graffiti, excessive noise, rodents or rodent burrows, whatever it is that catches your eye and annoys you as you walk the streets.  This is an opportunity to identify the problems and apply pressure to see that they are fixed.
Community Board 3 along with all our elected officials will pressure city agencies to provide the needed remedies.

The task should take about 30 to 45 minutes.  Please, if you can, volunteer.  Call the Community Board at 718.458.2707 to let them know that not only do you want to see changes in the community but that you are also willing to be part of the solution.

Can I just show up somewhere on Saturday morning when I get up, or do I have to call ahead to make an appointment?
