Hello, first off I am so happy to have found this great site!! My eyes are sore from reading all the threads! Anyhow, my family just moved to 83rd and 37th in June and love it in JH. Can't wait to learn from you all and voice my thoughts!!

i'm finally an official jackson heights resident. it has been a 4 month process buying into the co-op, but it's done. i'm moved in and have been so happy here. this site has been a wonderful resource and helped me decide on this neighborhood to buy in.

I love it here!! I love the green grass and trees in the summer! I enjoy all the ethnic food, shops and stores! I really believe this such a fabulous neighborhood!

me too.  every spring time I'm excited when I see the first crocuses peeking thru.  And I never get tired of the food here.

Better late than never.  I have lived in JH my whole life--PS 69, IS 145, Bryant high school--but I'm new to this site.  My mother grew up here too--she's a proud graduate of Newtown.  My maternal grandparents moved here 60 years ago.  Back then, they weren't allowed in the coops so they bought a house. 

This site has been great.  I've seen the neighborhood go through many changes and some rough times, but we grow and renew ourselves, and, yes, improve (something my childhood friends who moved away won't admit), because of the strength of the people who live here.  This site is just one more example of why we keep getting better.
