Queens themed t-shirts
« on: November 16, 2007, 12:32:38 AM »
I just happened upon this website http://www.ciarastore.com/main.sc

The designer, who lives in Sunnyside, sells t-shirts and other products that have Queens themes.  So far under the neighborhood category she only has Astoria, Long Island City and Sunnyside, but maybe she will add Jackson Heights if there's sufficient interest.

Otherwise, there are plenty of Queens (non neigbhorhood specific) products.

Here's a fridge magnet.

This is also quite nice, and they also have many other styles of shirts.

The Fisher Landau Center for Art in Long Island City also has t-shirts for $15 - logo on front and a Warhol portrait of Emily Fisher Landau on the back.

If you're interesting in buying the Jackson Heights graphic tees I made, use the coupon code QUEENS and you'll receive 10% off your entire purchase. And I'll throw in a few I HEART QUEENS stickers.

I'd made a few JH designs to print as a housewarming gift for my partner, and put them on CafePress:

Gothic Gryphons - Jackson Heights

Indian Lions - Jackson Heights

Pop Logo - Jackson Heights (Jesse's favorite)

Let me know what y'all think!

A new online store has reently opened named Jackson Heights Studios, where the artist is locally and nationally known, Manuel Cordero. He makes Queens themed graphic designed t-shirts and also other designs/artwork/custom graphics made on American Apparel brand clothing.  The link to the store is http://jhartstudio.com.  On this landing page, you can either view Manuel Cordero's art work, bio, and accomplishments by clicking the "Artwork" link or go to the online store which is called the "Neighborhood Store."  These t-shirts are reasonably priced, especially since they are each handmade, screen printed on American Apparel t-shirts.
First time customers can use the promotional code "JHSPromo78" at checkout to receive 20% off the entire order.

Jackson Heights Studios will also be having an Online Store Launch Party on June 4th at 7pm, in Jackson Heights at Terraza Cafe(www.terrazacafe.com).  There will be a fashion show of our clothing line which includes, men/women's t-shirts, dresses, hoodies, and other apparel, all inspired by Jackson Heights, Queens life.  Also there will be live performances by NYC Songwriter/singer Julianna Riccardi and recording artist Nancy Magarill.  Additionally, there will be a raffle at the party for an iPod Nano, other Apple Products, and free t-shirts.

The site is pretty cool and is designed very well.

If you need any additional information, please let me know. I hope that you all can attend this event.  Please RSVP to mc@jhartstudio.com or call 917-330-4853, since space is limited at Terraza Cafe.

Thanks,
Michelle

Hi Marcus,
The store is open and the link is working.  Just make sure to enter the address as http://jhartstudio.com.  There is no "www" in the front.  Hopefully it works for you but if not please let me know.
Thanks,
Michelle

That seems to work fine. However, when I click the NEIGHBORHOOD STORE link from you main homepage, I'm directed here: http://jhartstudio.com/store.jhartstudio.com which is a dead link and doesn't work.
