Aris Investments

Has anyone heard of a compnay called Aris Investments?  They own the properties on 35th Avenue btw 82nd and 83rd Street and one other on 81st St.  We were thinking of moving into the building on 35th Avenue but have heard horror stories about harassment of tenants, etc.

I lived in a building on 34th Ave and 82nd St managed by Aris Realty for 5 years. Their offices are in Astoria. I know they run a few buildings in the area. There's  one on 81st (?) opposite the library that's theirs. I never had any problems with them. They were generous with heat/hot water (unlike other buildings I've lived in), had decent supers in the building that maintained the building well. I never heard of anyone in the building having trouble with them either. My neighbors lived in the building for a lot longer than me but then it was a rent controlled building. It was by far the best apt I've lived in.
