New to JH/Cable TV Question
« on: March 11, 2009, 08:38:34 PM »
I am finally closing on & moving into my co-op in the JH historic district this month - I am so excited!  I'm trying to find out about cable TV services people use - price, etc.  I am not looking for the "tons of channels" packages.  Also. does anyone have info on any of those package deals where you get, e.g., cable/phone/Internet for one monthly payment?  Again, I would be interested in the most reasonable/affordable packages.  Any advice?  Thanks.

There should be an introductory basic cable & internet (no phone) package through Time Warner for about $63 or so a month including taxes.  When my introductory period ran out, the bill went up to around $80 something per month, but I asked them if they could re-instate the introductory price and they did.

Time Warner has several packages - all services or special cable packages or other combos.
FIOS isn't here yet and they have no knowledge of when ... or if.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

I should have mentioned that was just the package I chose.  They definitely have lots of other options.

We did tons of research to see what our options are, and no matter what, if you want phone, internet and/or cable (we only have internet and cable) you end up needing to go through TimeWarner.  If you just want phone and web, you can use verizon...
