either a disgruntled client or a hookup gone bad. everyone knows lawyers don't keep cash on hand, and he had to buzz the person/people into his office. may he rest in peace and hope the killer(s) are caught soon.

Why are these the only two possible scenarios? It could have been a robbery that went bad. It isn't unheard of for criminals to force their marks back into their homes and places of business before robbing them. In other words, he didn't necessarily buzz someone in.

there's video. the cops have said so. everyone knows there's no cash, no diamonds, no gold, to be had in a law office. i hope the killers are caught soon.

While I agree with you about the holdings of law offices, this neighborhood isn't exactly known for having the most sophisticated, skilled, or intelligent criminals. A botched robbery wouldn't surprise me. At any rate, I hope that the killers are caught soon and are treated appropriately.
