Local Charities

I know this topic has come up from time to time, but I was wondering what neighborhood/NYC charities are ones people like to give to.  Especially longer range charities, not ones specific to COVID or the fire.

The first two that come to mind...

Together We Can funds a lot of good local efforts (food pantries, social services, etc). https://togetherwecanrc.org/

Make the Road NY is based here but of course has wider impact. https://maketheroadny.org/

Beyond Jackson Heights and in NYC at large, there are of course so many it depends what causes or efforts you are most interested in (e.g. food insecurity, homelessness, education, etc.).
