Hello new neighbors

Hello new neighbors. I just moved to JH (Washington Plaza).  Is there a good hardware store nearby?  I prefer to support small local shops when I can. Looking forward to getting to know the neighborhood!

Of the hardware stores walkable from my house (79th and 37th), I like Jackson Supply.

They almost always have what I need, including wood cutting service. 

There's also a Home Depot on Northern Boulevard west of Broadway.

Welcome to the neighborhood!

I also recommend Jackson Supply. And, if you are looking for paint supplies, including Benjamin Moore, go to Kazalas Paint Supplies.

The Home Depot Davey recommends is a short Q66 bus ride. You can also walk to the Home Depot on 25th Ave in East Elmhurst. There is a Bed Bath and Beyond next to that one, too.

Just as an FYI, many of the discount stores along 37th and Roosevelt Avenues carry various hardware items such as picture hanging kits, electrical tape, extension cords, small hardware and houseware items, etc. that would save you from making a trip all the way to Home Depot or BB&B.
