Construction may soon begin on a new 30,000-square-foot mixed-use building located near the World’s Fair Marina in East Elmhurst, Queens. The four-story development will take shape at 106-02 Astoria Boulevard and will eventually replace several private residences, associated yards, and parking spaces.

I'm not usually fond of modern design, but I must admit.....the renderings look kinda cool. :)    Don't believe there are any subway lines that run near there though. :-\

The access to the marina is really nice, but is the marina going to change or be disturbed by the airtrain construction? It could be okay if you have a car and only rely on car transportation - look at that red supercar in the picture! That area has a lot of construction going on, probably til the end of time. Not many stores there. I can't imagine choosing this place over anywhere in the historic district but I can someone liking it who doesn't take the subway, likes new construction, and wants some outdoor space.
