J.J. Chan's Garden on 31st Avenue is finally reopened for those desiring good Chinese take-out.

Took a walk through Elmhurst. The following are now open:

Lamoon
Khao Kang
Khao Nam (the dessert/noodle place behind Khao Kang)
Pata Paplean is open Fri-Sun, 10-6 for takeout noodles and cocktails.
Tea Cup Cafe.
(Didn't notice Spicy Shallot)

Despana hours are Saturday 11-3.

La Pequena Colombia located at the corner of 84th Street and Roosevelt Ave.  This great Colombian restaurant has been a staple of JH since 1984.  They opened two days ago for pick and delivery.  Delicious food with authentic Colombian flavor.

Just a reminder that GrubHub and Seamless take a HUGE chunk of the $ when you use them.  When so many of our small businesses are struggling, I do my best make sure every dollar stays local with our restaurants.  As much as possible I have been calling to place orders directly.  I called ahead to order pickup from Lamoon tonight (cash/venmo only), and have gotten Hug Esan delivered as well (cash only for phone orders).

Plaka Grill and Bistro Eloise are back. I've also heard JJ Chan's Garden is back, but can't confirm.

We picked up from Urumbamba today and the meal was delicious. Call ahead to place your order. Que viva Peru!!!!!

they're renovating and will be open next week with a new layout. the chef has also taken over the vacant grocery next door as a retail establishment. that should be open soon, too.

This is great!!  One more nice store to a part of JH that needs to be turned around.  I hope it is turned into a mini grocery store.
