Upgrading Electricity in a 1 family house
« on: February 26, 2020, 08:51:13 PM »
I am looking to convert from a fuse to a breaker box.  I also want to have more outlets installed.  My original breaker box has only 4 fuses.

Has anyone done this upgrade in a home? Who did you use?  Did new wiring need to be installed from Con Ed?

After having three or four estimates coming to look at the job, I would say it would not cost more than a couple thousand dollars to switch to breakers. If you are concerned about Con Edison, that’s not a issue, unless it is an issue
