Daniel Dromm : Put NYCHA in the City Budget
« on: August 27, 2019, 06:55:20 AM »

BUSTED : Even though NYCHA is in a crisis, facing a $32 billion deficit in its capital improvement budget, New York City Councilmember Daniel Dromm threw NYCHA under the bus by cutting them out of the $92.8 billion City budget. As chair of the City Council finance committee, Dromm sees the City Budget out of committee.

Dromm self-anoints himself as the defender of diversity. But NYCHA is 90% ppl of color, and where is Dromm's support for ppl of color as they face with uninhabitable conditions at NYCHA public housing ?

The money exists to address the racial, social, and economic injustices in the City of New York, much of which are state-sponsored.

With a New York City Budget of $92.8 Billion that is expected to grow $4 Billion a year, the entire City of New York will eventually face a financial crisis.

Nah, $4 billion that's still a billion less than the cost of a wall... What's gonna push us to a financial crisis is random, uninformed economic policies that stifle trade and balloon the deficit.

well, if the current regime remains in power after 2020, they've announced plans to cut billions from social security and medicare. that'll give us enough to build a wall at the northern border, too. maybe even a ceiling.

also, Dromm is in office to represent his district, not the city or state as a whole. NYCHA isn't a huge presence in Jackson Heights.

The New York City Financial Crisis is an internal NYC problem that has nothing to do with President Trump.  It's about NYC's long term liabilities such as pensions, retirement benefits for NYC Government employees and Bond debt that keeps growing.

JH3525, you appear to be confused about the subject matter, which is public housing. Tweetie Amin has *everything* to do with that.
