Thirding K & L. Love that place. They also will customize anything to your liking—egg whites and avocado and spinach in a wrap, for example. And very reasonable prices. We're so lucky to have K&L in the neighborhood.
I have yet to see Fruitilicious open, but they supposedly have smoothies and juices and such (

I've been to the Create in Astoria and while I personally enjoy the food options, it is very pricey and has a really sterile, chain-restaurant type feel. I wouldn't jump at getting one in JH, especially when we already have Just Made 4 U. Each to his own, of course, but I'm glad for our quirkier, smaller options (was rooting for Fresh Splilt Milk, despite its issues), in a neighborhood that (thankfully) doesn't yet look like a million other neighborhoods in NYC.
So many neighborhoods are really starting to look alike these days, with Chipotle and Chopt and Juice Generation (and its clones) and chain banks and pharmacies and the like, and while of course we have plenty of chains here (on 82nd in particular), I am so happy for the unusual array of local options we have in Jackson Heights.
(I know this thread is about healthy food options, so not trying to derail the conversation! But I do think we have healthy food available here like salads and wraps and sushi etc.; it's just particular types of healthy food—quinoa bowls, for example—you might have to travel for.)
