That’s correct. What would this country be without white heterosexuals. We do need protection in this delusional country.

clearly, heterosexual white men are the most oppressed members of our society. we need to protect them like we once did the bald eagle. they are in danger of disappearing.
Dssjh, please try to keep your racist man-hating out of these discussions.  I know it's difficult for you to do.  These types of outbursts are simply illustrating my point.

EAST ELMHURST, Queens — A 19-year-old is expected in court Friday after he was arrested in Queens on as part of an FBI national security investigation, officials and law enforcement sources said.
The teen was texting with a man he thought was an ISIS sympathizer, saying he wanted to carry out an ISIS-style attack, sources said. Law enforcement carried out a search warrant at the teen's East Elmhurst residence on Thursday night. About a dozen FBI agents could be seen going in and out.
A woman who lives in the area said the people in that residence don't speak to anyone in the neighborhood.
"Just thinking about what could have happened here hurts me," she said.
The teen had only moved in to the area a short time ago, neighbors said.
The 19-year-old is a Queens resident who was born in Pakistan, a law enforcement official told CNN. Authorities allege he was inspired by ISIS and planned to conduct a stabbing or bombing attack in Queens.
According to the official, the man was under constant surveillance by law enforcement authorities and did not pose a danger to the public.
Officials said they would release more information when they were able to.
A former counterterrorism cop who worked cases after 9/11 said the FBI can choose to 'classify this incident and not make any of the details public.

"Stabbing or bombing in Queens". Very appreciative that this was stopped.

Hate to break up the whole “I love Social Security “ love fest but given the decline in population after the baby boomers there will not be enough workers to cover the retirement costs of the elderly. It is only a matter of time before they will need to cut benefits or  American workers will emigrate to seek a better life without legacy costs. It truly is a Ponzi scheme. Most twenty to forty year olds will never see a dime of social security they pay into.

Social Security - OK, let's take a few breathes and calm ourselves.
A Ponzi scheme? Well, this one has been working for what, more than 80 years? Think any associated scam would have shown up by now.
Also, when I and my friends were in our 20s and 30s, we were convinced we would never see a dime from Social Security.  Guess what, baby boomers are collecting Social Security. The unavailability of Social Security for us must be one of those intergenerational complaints like (from the side of the divide) these kids listen to bad music, are lazy and/or irresponsible. (On the latter point, hear Cole Porter's Anything Goes.
Want to make Social Security stable further into the future, for one thing, take the cap off for earnings subject to SSA contributions.
And there are other ways to make Social Security work until the baby boomers are no longer collecting and the U.S. returns to a more normal age-population distribution.

you mean the Millennials, which is a bigger generation than the baby boomers? https://www.census.gov/newsroom/press-releases/2015/cb15-113.html

BTW, can everyone try to remember that if they are going to post a news article, the practice isn't to post the entire article, but rather a snippet with a link so the news site doing the reporting can get the traffic and eyeballs on advertising?

I was writing something about this exchange, but because bias has been exhibited by the monitor(s) of this site--in favor of bad characters, I decided to silence myself.

...and that is my true naked political commentary of the day.

of course you don't.

and we all know why.

why not go out and enjoy the diversity that surrounds you here -- a neighborhood that welcomes everyone. let it envelop you and perhaps you can learn something.
