yeah, I actually kind of agree with you, though Etsy is a marketplace to sell, whether or not you ever actually sell anything. I'm not sure how NYS defines vandalism, but an annoying bumper sticker to scrape off doesn't, in my mind, rise to the level of destruction or damage to property that I would associate with vandalism. I'm not sure the legal system would agree with my interpretation though. I don't know that I'm entirely comfortable with people sticking bumper stickers on other people's property either. Like, if someone stuck a Trump sticker on my car I'd be pretty upset.

As someone who lives on 37th Ave, I agree it has gotten worse.  But it was our elected officials whom took down all the $300. fines for unlawful honking, which they never enforced anyway.

I recognize that it would be next to impossible to enforce any kind of unlawful honking violations, but thought the signs may have acted as a little bit of a deterrent.  The larger question remains.  Why is there so much honking in the neighborhood?

Most of the honking occurs on side streets. The reason is persistent double parking on 37th Avenue. This makes it very difficult to turn from the side streets onto the avenue. Drivers get stuck waiting through several lights, get peeved and think that by honking that will move traffic.

There's a snitching app for citizens to report illegal parking to city (i think it's only in NJ). I think that idea better serves to report the freaking honking AND extended double parking in this neighborhood. I agree it's mostly double parking but sometimes people are way too trigger happy with the honking though and will honk nonstop if someone is just delayed moving at a green for 5 seconds.

As I was walking home from work late this afternoon along 37th Avenue, one guy was driving his car down the street, honking his horn over and over and over.  I could see no reason why he was doing so.
