Do we have any prominent homes that are zombies or full of zombies?

There are lots of abandoned houses in Jamaica. Can't think of any in JH.

you'd know one if you saw it.

not being sarcastic. other cities are so plagued that they simply raze whole blocks of them, dozens at a time.

There are zombie apartments here definitely. I know of a number in our building that are either completely vacant or
very rarely used. Wish it was not so but long time co-op residents are under no obligation to live there or sell as far as
I know.

would those really be "zombie homes," though? to me, that connotes a structure being left unmaintained, to rot and/or be squatted in, in perpetuity. after all, huge chunks of the city's highest-end buildings - billionaire's row on 57th, Trump tower, Time Warner -- are made up of apartments owned by foreign interests that never even open the door. and those don't cause an issue, at least not in terms of crime....

There used to be a "zombie" home on 34th Avenue somewhere in the low 70s I believe.  I thought for certain someone would buy it and restore it to its original grandeur.  That never happened.  It is now a school.
